This tank has been running for quite a while now and is very mature. The Cryptocoryne in the background were barely an inch tall when I first got them, but they have now shot right to the top; I'm incredibly pleased with the plant growth.<\/p>
I did encounter a bout of Cyanobacteria in this tank, which required me to remove some plants for a thorough scrub. I also had to perform a \"blackout\" for about five days to fully eradicate it. Moving forward, I'm planning to replace the Staurogyne repens with some new carpeting plants and perhaps add more epiphytes to the wood to create a fuller, more established look.<\/p>
This tank is far from its final form, but I am very happy with how it has matured and grown. Now that it's stable, I can focus on the finishing touches.
